We are an all inclusive lodge at $1800 a person a day. We have excursions that are offered to guests but also offer exclusive excursions through our local third party partners. At Fat Bear Lodge, you can experience the thrill of world-class fishing with guided boats, float planes, or even heli-fly-out trips. Whether you’re hiking, kayaking, Side-by-Siding, Sherping, or walrus watching, our first-class guides ensure you have an unparalleled Alaskan adventure.
The famed Brooks Falls Fat Bears are just a short trip up the river from the lodge. Brooks Falls is famous for seeing bears bulking up for winter by feeding on salmon making their way upstream.
You can visit Brooks Falls in a day from Anchorage to see the bears via our Katmai Water Taxi which will pick up/drop off guests from the King Salmon airport and then take them to Brooks ($450 per person). If you're looking to stay longer, book into our lodge for a multi-day bear viewing experience. The Katmai Water Taxi is one of several excursions included in your Fat Bear Lodge stay.
