BROOKS CAMP

Brooks Camp & Katmai National Park are bucket list items. Situated in the park at the mouth of the Brooks River and the shore of Naknek Lake, Brooks Camp attracts people from all over the world to view the famous Fat Bears. During the summer months the bears congregate in droves to fish for salmon. The chance to see these bears up close and personal in their natural habitat is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. While the bears are the main attraction for good reason, Brooks Camp is home to an variety of wildlife. Most days you can spot moose, caribou, eagles, puffins and even wolves. Katmai is dominated by the majestic Alaskan mountains, lush forests, and waters teaming with wildlife. Katmai is particularly stunning in the summer, when wildflowers bloom and the vibrant greens of the foliage contrast with the blue skies. Brooks Camp and Katmai National Park provide something for everyone.
